Accredited Drug Worker Training 2007/8
Evidence Based Approaches to Counselling Substance Users (EBA)

Accreditation, DANOS, Qualification, Assessment, Competence – in the changing field of substance misuse it can be hard to decide where best to invest your resources for staff development. The EBA programme combines opportunities to learn, develop and practise the core skills in drug treatment with the possibility of gaining an Open College Network award that is mapped to a cluster of DANOS units. Students collect evidence about their knowledge and understanding of the key skills in drug treatment.
EBA is a stand-alone qualification of the highest quality that also enables students to collect evidence that can be used towards NVQs and other competence based awards. Why not have a quick look at the feedback from previous students and their managers – it’s all on our website www.trainingexchange.org.uk along with more detailed information about the whole programme.

CAIS TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

You may be aware that the DANOS requirements which were published recently highlighted that there are a number of staff within organisations that are providing Substance Misuse Services, who require training to enable them to achieve the standards.  I am happy to tell you that CAIS has now been able to expand its comprehensive training programme in order to provide a considerable amount of the training that was highlighted as being needed to help your workforce to achieve the DANOS standards.

We are in the process of developing a Training Brochure which will detail the training that can be provided, and the availability of this training for the period April 2008 – March 2009.  It may be useful for me to let you know what training topics will be available in order for you to make provision in your training budget, should the topics be of interest to you.   Please note that it is possible for us to not only to deliver the training which is outlined below, but also to tailor-make programmes to meet your specific needs and which can be delivered in accordance with your requirements.
